During twelfth grade, I entered one print from my "Where We've Walked" series into the Connecticut Regional Scholastic Art Awards along with a 6-piece portfolio of work and two other prints. This piece was the only piece of those I entered to win an award. The monotype and chance-drypoint piece won a "Silver Key" in the printmaking category, the second-highest award on the regional level.
During tenth grade, my monoprint triptych "Bicycles" was entered into the Connecticut Regional Scholastic Art Awards on behalf of Kingswood Oxford School. The piece won a "Gold Key" in the printmaking category, the highest award on the regional level. The image above is not the whole print (click HERE to see the full print and my other monotypes).
During eighth grade, my altered book sculpture "Fruit Bowl" was entered into the Connecticut Regional Scholastic Art Awards on behalf of Kingswood Oxford School. The piece won a "Gold Key," the highest award on the regional level; however, the sculpture did not move on to the national level.
